nvidiaWhile Oculus VR had some issues with the SDK 0.7 causing it to delay for at least a week, NVIDIA has released an update of GeForce driver to support the latest features of the Oculus SDK. There are also a few bug where an occasional problem crashed the TDR. Despite the Beta status, NVIDIA recommends that all VR developers update now: http://developer.download.nvidia.com/

We’ve tested the latest update on our Windows 10-pc, but the drivers caused a crash (black screen). So be prepared when you update to the bèta driver and make a proper back-up.

Some speculation say that Oculus VR isn’t responsible for the delay. AMD should be the one to blame. Oculus VR forum-members say AMD didn’t get the drivers right and are working on that right now. Since NVIDIA released their drivers, it seems assumable that these speculations are true. But time will tell.

Robbert As some of you may know, I have been suffering from the aftermath of a traffic accident, a severe case of COVID-19, and a transient ischemic attack (TIA). These events have taken a toll on my physical and mental well-being, and I can no longer keep up with the demands of running a VR website and channel. I want to thank you all for your support and feedback over the years. You have been an amazing community and I have enjoyed sharing my passion for VR and gaming with you. I hope you will continue to enjoy VR and explore its possibilities. I will leave the website and channel online for now, so you can still access the content I have created. However, I will not be posting any new blogs, videos, or news. I hope you understand and respect my choice.
