Virtual reality segment from the BBC science and engineering program “Tomorrow’s World”. Transmitted in 1990. It amazes me and scares me as well. Will virtual reality in 2016 be the success we want it to be?

Beginning in 1965, the BBC’s flagship science programme ran for nearly 40 years. Its mix of quirky film reports and live experiments examined the changing state of current technology and put new inventions to the test. You can watch the more archived videos on BBC.co.uk.

Robbert VR has been my passion since the days of the Virtual Boy. As an early adopter, I still treasure my Oculus Rift DK and Palmer Luckey's backers’ letter. Thank you for sharing this journey with me – the site and channel will remain online as a tribute to our shared love for VR and I'll try to post regularly.
