Samsung announced that the consumer version of the Samsung Gear VR will launch in November 2015 and is compatible with all 2015 models (Samsung Galaxy Note 5, S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+). The headset will be 20% lighter and easier to ware. The final build of the mobile SDK will release in November this year.

Also the Gear VR will support Twitch and Netflix!
