Preorders for FOVE Eye Tracking HMD are now open
Some of you may have heard about the FOVE VR headset. FOVE is the first virtual reality headset that use eye tracking. FOVE was found by Yuka Kojima and Lochlainn Wilson. Just as Oculus, FOVE started a Kickstarter. The initial goal of $250,000 was reached in less than 4 days. The backers who contributed $349 were ensured to receive the FOVE HMD. The company collected a total of $480,650 with this campaign.
Who missed the Kickstarter and want the first eye tracking VR headset, from today you can preorder the FOVE! You will have to pay a little bit more than those lucky backers, since the price starts from $649.00 including shipping and handling costs. VAT, GST, import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country are not included.
The FOVE will be scheduled for shipment in January 2017 if you place your order today.
FOVE’s eye tracking technology uses infrared technology to track eye movements with accuracy and low latency. The sensors within the FOVE track your pupils to allows the user to target and interact with objects by making eye contact with them.
Unfortunately I didn’t had a change to try the FOVE. If you did, please let me know how your experience was.

Another VR Headset hits the streets! At this moment there are more HMD’s available than good quality games! VR will fail if you ask me. Not because of the hardware, but thanks to the big publishers. They ignored VR.
