On Gamescom I found a really interesting game that was made by two young developers for their graduation assignment: Filipe Simonette and Julie Baechtold.

The game had a really nice concept. As a parent you watch over your young cubs and tell them what to eat and what not to eat by shaking you head. It is your task to learn the cubs distinguish food and danger. When your cub finds food it will investigate if it is healthy and will look at you to see your approval. By nodding your head, you approve the food and by shake it you discourage your child from eating it. The better food they eat, the better they evolve.

It was a small demo, but enough to impress me. They game will probably not be publishes, but I strongly advised your developer to look into the possibilities to publish it for at least the Samsung Gear VR because it made such a good impression. You can find more info about Watcher their Facebook page and website.

Robbert VR has been my passion since the days of the Virtual Boy. As an early adopter, I still treasure my Oculus Rift DK and Palmer Luckey's backers’ letter. Thank you for sharing this journey with me – the site and channel will remain online as a tribute to our shared love for VR and I'll try to post regularly.
