Oculus-Rift-with-Xbox

Virtual reality is evolving rapidly, and that shift is also reflected behind the scenes on VR Bites. With companies like Microsoft playing an increasingly central role in the VR ecosystem — including involvement in platforms such as Oculus Rift and HTC Vive — it became necessary to rethink how content is structured on the site.

To better reflect the broader VR landscape, the menu structure has been updated. The previous “Oculus Rift” category has been replaced with a more general “Windows” section. This change makes it easier to group multiple PC-based VR headsets under a single category, rather than focusing on just one platform.

Alongside this update, the technical summaries for games and apps have been revised. Where earlier overviews focused specifically on Oculus Rift compatibility, the new system provides a wider overview. It now indicates support for multiple platforms, including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, OSVR by Razer, as well as devices like Totem and Sulon Cortex. This makes it easier to see at a glance which headsets are supported.

No VR support for Apple

At this stage, support for macOS within the VR space remains limited. Because of this, there is currently no dedicated section for Apple systems. When a title does support macOS, it will be clearly indicated within the technical summary.

Thank you

Finally, a word of thanks to everyone visiting VR Bites. The platform continues to grow steadily, entirely through organic reach without advertising or paid promotion. That ongoing support makes it possible to keep exploring new VR content and sharing experiences.

More updates, reviews, and VR experiments are on the way.

Robbert VR has been my passion since the days of the Virtual Boy. As an early adopter, I still treasure my Oculus Rift DK and Palmer Luckey's backers’ letter. Thank you for sharing this journey with me – the site and channel will remain online as a tribute to our shared love for VR and I'll try to post regularly.
