Workshop Simulator VR Brings Hands-On Restoration to PSVR2 This September
After finding success on Meta Quest and Steam VR, Workshop Simulator VR is now set to launch on PlayStation VR2. Starting September 4, 2025, PlayStation 5 owners will be able to step into their own virtual workshop and experience the slower, more detail-oriented side of VR gaming.
The title released less than a year ago on Quest, where it quickly gathered over 130,000 active players and currently holds an average user rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. With the upcoming PSVR2 release, developer VR Factory Games is expanding its reach to Sony’s platform while taking advantage of the hardware’s advanced haptics and adaptive triggers.

Workshop Simulator VR is built around the idea of restoring vintage items piece by piece. Players dismantle objects, clean away rust and dirt, and apply finishes ranging from paint to polish. The gameplay is deliberately unhurried, focusing more on precision and immersion than on action.
On PSVR2, the additional feedback from the Sense controllers aims to enhance the tactile feel of every task, whether sanding down wood or applying a coat of spray paint. Combined with the PlayStation 5’s processing power, the workshop environment should feel sharper and more convincing than ever.
For VR Factory Games, the move to PlayStation marks the next chapter in the game’s growth. What began as a niche sim on Quest and PC has developed into a relaxing alternative to the faster-paced titles that dominate the VR landscape.
Workshop Simulator VR will be available on PlayStation VR2 beginning September 4, 2025.
