Are you legally blind? Do you have low vision or can only see things up close ? Then this app might be for you. NearSight is an application that works with your phone and the OpenDive VR display or any DIY VR displays. It uses the camera on your phone and displays the front image to the phone screen in stereoscopic. We feel that with time we can develop more devices and/or applications which will help people with visual or eye disabilities.

What you need for the App:
1. An Android phone
2. A head mount display compatible with a phone screen

Start up the app and it’s good to go. Tap the center of the screen to bring up the touch screen menu or use a Bluetooth controller to zoom and adjust the display.

Robbert As some of you may know, I have been suffering from the aftermath of a traffic accident, a severe case of COVID-19, and a transient ischemic attack (TIA). These events have taken a toll on my physical and mental well-being, and I can no longer keep up with the demands of running a VR website and channel. I want to thank you all for your support and feedback over the years. You have been an amazing community and I have enjoyed sharing my passion for VR and gaming with you. I hope you will continue to enjoy VR and explore its possibilities. I will leave the website and channel online for now, so you can still access the content I have created. However, I will not be posting any new blogs, videos, or news. I hope you understand and respect my choice.

  1. I work with very small circuits and repair watches.
Have been hunting for months for a simple app that would allow me to auto focus, zoom and take picutres of things while I work. Lets see if this app works by allowing zoom, taking pics, and auto focus.
