Skonec Entertainment has unleashed a massive update for its popular VR hero shooter Strike Rush. Titled Season 2: Unknown Villain, this overhaul introduces a slew of new features, including fresh game modes, characters, maps, and an upgraded user interface. The update, which is available now on Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro, is completely free for existing players.

A Complete System Overhaul to Enhance Player Experience

Based on extensive feedback from the community, Strike Rush now offers a revamped experience aimed at delivering faster, more intense action. The developers have introduced new gameplay options and strategic elements to keep players engaged and offer new challenges for veterans and newcomers alike.

New Game Modes and Quest System

The Season 2 update brings two new game modes: Team Deathmatch, a high-paced, combat-centric mode that focuses on eliminating opponents, and Quick Battle, which lets players enter matchmaking quickly while waiting for team setup. Once your team is matched, you’ll automatically transition into Team Deathmatch mode. Additionally, Strike Rush now features a Quest System that rewards players for completing daily and weekly challenges, ranging from winning matches to mastering specific skills.

New Characters and Weapons

Two new characters join the fight in Strike Rush:

  • Cain: A cold-blooded assassin equipped with unpredictable tactics and crowd-control abilities.
  • Benny: A mischievous Goblin-type Blitzmon that looks cute but delivers serious damage in battle.

To add even more firepower, the update also introduces the Griffin rocket launcher, a high-impact weapon capable of dealing devastating AoE damage. Players can find and claim this powerful weapon at specific locations within each map—but be quick, as spawns are limited!

New Map: B-13 Laboratory

Following the addition of the SHINING VESSEL map this summer, Season 2 introduces B-13 Laboratory. This new map features a multi-layered layout that opens up diverse tactical opportunities, from large-scale ground fights to strategic upper-level captures. All maps in Strike Rush, including B-13 Laboratory, are now accessible in both Quick Battle and Team Deathmatch modes.

Enhanced UI and Player Experience

With this update, Skonec has revamped the entire user interface to offer a more streamlined and immersive experience. The goal is to provide a slicker look that matches the action-packed gameplay and helps players dive into the game with ease.

Key Features of Season 2: Unknown Villain:

  • New Game Mode: Team Deathmatch for intense, fast-paced action.
  • New Characters: Cain (a strategic assassin) and Benny (a Goblin-type Blitzmon).
  • New Weapon: Griffin rocket launcher for explosive AoE attacks.
  • New Map: B-13 Laboratory with multi-layered design for strategic play.
  • Quest System: Complete daily and weekly quests for in-game rewards.
  • Full UI Overhaul: Sleeker, more intuitive menus and game interface.
  • Expanded Stage Access: All gameplay modes available on all maps, including the new additions.

Robbert As some of you may know, I have been suffering from the aftermath of a traffic accident, a severe case of COVID-19, and a transient ischemic attack (TIA). These events have taken a toll on my physical and mental well-being, and I can no longer keep up with the demands of running a VR website and channel. I want to thank you all for your support and feedback over the years. You have been an amazing community and I have enjoyed sharing my passion for VR and gaming with you. I hope you will continue to enjoy VR and explore its possibilities. I will leave the website and channel online for now, so you can still access the content I have created. However, I will not be posting any new blogs, videos, or news. I hope you understand and respect my choice.
