To celebrate the latest part of Star Wars, Disney announced a virtual reality star wars film! It gives Star Wars fans the opportunity to participate in the film!

The release of the virtual reality experience of Star Wars VII is scheduled for  December 2 and is made in collaboration with Google and Verizon. It is the first time that Disney combines Google Cardboard and Virtual Reality with one of their films. It won’t be the last VR video we will see from Disney, since they invested millions in Jaunt earlier this year.

The Google Cardboard Virtual Reality app is published on the official Star Wars app and is available on both Android and iOS devices. Exclusive Star Wars Google Cardboard headsets will be available in Verizon stores in the US on December 2nd.

Robbert As some of you may know, I have been suffering from the aftermath of a traffic accident, a severe case of COVID-19, and a transient ischemic attack (TIA). These events have taken a toll on my physical and mental well-being, and I can no longer keep up with the demands of running a VR website and channel. I want to thank you all for your support and feedback over the years. You have been an amazing community and I have enjoyed sharing my passion for VR and gaming with you. I hope you will continue to enjoy VR and explore its possibilities. I will leave the website and channel online for now, so you can still access the content I have created. However, I will not be posting any new blogs, videos, or news. I hope you understand and respect my choice.

  1. No it isn’t. THE HUNGER GAMES released its VR experience on YouTube VR for Google Cardboard earlier this month. And ‘THE DIVERGENT SERIES: INSURGENT’ released its app for Google Cardboard back in March.
